Annual based upon the 1979-81 TV series featuring two comic book stories (writer/artist credits on first page of each) and uncredited text pieces ("Space Facts", etc.). The two comic stories are:

The Hostage by Newman, art by McWilliams
The Trial by Teitelbaum, art by McWilliams

Both stories are reprinted from the American-published Gold Key/Whitman comic book series. "The Hostage" and "The Trial" were parts 1 and 2 of a three-part story arc; this reprinting omits the concluding chapter, leaving the storyline unfinished. Although a 1983 Annual was published in 1982, according to information available online, it apparently did not include the final chapter.

Front and back covers identical. Art shows Gil Gerard as Buck Rogers, Erin Gray as Wilma Deering and Pamela Hensley as Ardala. 52 pages.

23skidoo 7th Jul 2020		In my notes I mention that the storyline reprinted from the Gold Key comics is left unresolved by the omission of the third chapter. I've done online searches for information about the contents of the 1983 annual and as far as I can find, part 3 wasn't included. However, if anyone has a copy of the 1983 Buck Rogers Annual - even if not in a position to index it - please leave a note here or PM me and I'll happily stand corrected. I can imagine it must have been frustrating for readers to be left hanging like that!
