23skidoo 5th Dec 2022		This was one of the most-read books I had even I was 3-4 years old - as you can likely tell by the condition of the cover (this is my original copy recently found in a box). It really says something about how times have changed that a book first published in 1951 was still considered relevant to the kids of 1971 (when this printing was published). Imagine a book about cars and trucks for kids printed in 2022 - but dating back to 2002! Yeah, some things have remained the same, but lots of other things haven't. But in 1971 other than possibly the addition of seatbelts and the cars looking a bit less fancy, vehicles hadn't changed that much in 20 years. I wonder if they bothered keeping this in print in the 1990s?
