annaloog 21st Jul 2022		I had to buy (and read) a copy of this, a much more recent edition needles to say, for a college history course ... something to do with the British class system. What has stuck with me all these years, though, as I recall, was Huxley's statement concerning black ladders. (this comment is from another edition of this book)
