B format, 480pp, contains 27 short stories.
Originally published in USA in 1947 by Arkham House, just 3,112 copies and not reprinted.
Hamish Hamilton published a truncated edition in the UK in 1948.
It was not republished until Gauntlet Press in USA produced a limited edition in 2001.
After the initial printing its place was taken by The October Country (1955) which kept 15 of the original stories (some rewritten) and added 4 more.
