 i see a bookcatter's found a book containing another of those one-sided sheets of paper again. . .

(2, 4, 8, 16, 32, (48,) 64, (96,)) (64 x 2=) 128pp, (64x2 + 16=) 144pp, (64x2 + 32=) 160pp, (64 x 3=) 192pp, (64x3 +16=208pp, +32=240), (64 x 4=) 256pp, . (64x4 +32=) 288pp,. (64 x 5=) 320pp, ...

- sheets of paper get printed, printed t'other side, folded, folded again, folded yet again and again. . . - then cut, sewn, stapled, glued into covers - and only very rarely does one turn over a page to discover - nothing at all on the other side, not even a blank surface, but a hole in the fabric of the universe. . .
