First edition. A revision and retelling of the 1906 French-language science fiction novel Le Docteur Oméga by Galopin, "adapted and retold" by the Lofficiers. It had been noted that the time-travelling character of Dr. Omega bore striking and coincidental character and physical similarities to The Doctor, the lead character of the BBC series Doctor Who, especially the First Doctor as played by William Hartnell. With this in mind, Galopin's story was revised to make it appear as if this may have been a "lost" story of the Doctor. Available in different formats simultaneously; this copy is the Collector's Edition release that includes illustrations from the original version of the novel. Foreword by former Doctor Who script editor and novelist Terrance Dicks. 264 pages; print-on-demand - copy indexed was printed on June 2, 2010.

Bodston SUBS 10th Jul 2020		Unfortunately us poor Mods cannot alter the order of authors. On Book World a lot of the behind the scenes stuff is automatic. So what you see is what you get. So no more requests to change the order of authors please.



23skidoo 10th Jul 2020		I decided to enter this as a new book rather than as an edition of the 1906 novel owing to it being a partial rewrite and the added Doctor Who tie-in. For some reason the indexing system is putting Galopin's name second in the Author field, when it should be first. Correction submitted.
