ppint. 5th Apr 2018		at one point universal-tandem numbered all their doctor who novelisations in the approximately alphabetical order by title in which they appeared upon the pages of their stock list or catalogue. these numbers began to appear upon the covers, usually at the foot of the spine, and upon the title pages, of reprintings and reissues from then on. unfortunately, universal tandem continued to publish further doctor who novelisations, which were assigned, allocated or "awarded"° numbers following on from the last of the list of those initially numbered. the above may serve to explain how and why the target books doctor who novelizations numbering system betrays every indication of having been invented by a darvill-evans "lost in time, and lost in space, and me-e-eaning (me-e-eaning)."°° ° - sorry; obscure bibliographers str °° - blatantly obvious sf,f&h cult str
