ppint. 3rd May 2018		the leisure books isbn publishers prefix of 08439 plus the next two "00" gives a calculated partial sum° of 179; had this been a real, legitimately issued isbn10; . the next two digits ("25") would've given a full sum°° of 195. 195 ÷ 11 = 17 remainder 8, to which remainder 3 must be added to give 11: . so the checksum digit would've been "3", and the isbn10 in full would have been 0843900253. . so the number claimed by nordon publications, inc. to be the isbn10, 0843900259, is a fake. . every isbn on a nordon publications book that ends with the exact same digits as the book's cat# is suspect, and needs the correct checksum digit calculating afresh for comparison with that claimed. . . ° 0 x 10 = 0; 8 x 9 = 72; 4 x 8 = 32; 3 x 7 = 21; 9 x 6 = 54, 0 x 5 = 0; 0 x 4 = 0. . 0 + 72 + 32 + 21 + 54 + 0 + 0 = 179 . °° 2 x 3 = 6; 5 x 2 = 10 179 + 6 + 10 = 195 . ppint. 23rd Mar 2018		purported isbn on spine, 0 • 8439 • 00529 • 095, is a fabrication by nordon publications: with the removal of the last three digits (the cover price in ¢) and the purported checksum digit, what remains would not have given rise to a checksum digit of "9", and has clearly been manufactured from the cat# sans alpha cover price code letters by someone ignorant of the purpose and calculation of the checksum digit.
