ppint. 1st Mar 2018		opar/khokarsa/hadon series #1: sequel is "flight to opar"" (1976), q.v. near-identical editions/printings sharing merkin-printed covers and hence also cat#, and cover art by roy krenkel (credited) ten b+w interior illustrations and three maps by roy g. krenkel (credited and signed rgk) near-meaningless daw books collector no. 100 cover price $1.25 224pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising refer to indica to see if the carcass of the copy hold was canadadian- or merkin- printed. no priority established nor liable to be, both bear first printing date, full number-string, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 check also if it's a 1975 third printing from a line stating this and the dropping of the "1" & "2" from the indica number string. two undated (fourth u.s. & second canadadian by printing number-strings) 1976 (date from jaffery) printings share the same cover art, but a different cat# UW1241 cover price $1.50 and drop the daw books collector no. 7/1981 printings bear new cover art by clyde caldwell cat# UE1637 isbn 0-87997-637-3 new near-meaningless daw books collector no.442 cover price $2.50 u.s.-carcassed sixth printing by number-string cover price $2.75 canadian-carcassed seventh printing by number-string; 10/1983 eighth printing retains this cover art, new cat# UE1873 isbn 0-87997-873-2 drops daw books collector no. from cover; (these and any subsequent printings will presumably be a new bookcat item, eventually.)
