Yes, my edition states First Sphere Books edition 1969. Reprinted 1971. Reprinted 1973, 1976.
Actually, this is probably as good example as any to support a second date drop down, which would pinpoint the edition, followed by the reprint date of that edition.

both the front and the back cover images should^W have now been transferred to bookcat item nc760244uk

they are of the 1976 fourth sphere books uk p/b printing, not this 1969 first sphere books printing which has completely different cover art by a different artist, and different cover prices.

cover art uncredited, unsigned
cat# 10901
cover price 5/- (25p), south africa 60c, east africa 6/00, australia 8c, new zealand 75c
so should be re-flagged "international" according to respected moderator's rule
- or not so re-flagged, according to equally well-respected moderator's heartfelt plea
208pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp.

7/1971 second sphere books printing
cover art by eddie jones (signed) set in black main cover frame design early ''sphere science fiction classics'', on green ground, #1 in series
cat# ?
cover price ?
208pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp.

it seems possible there were two 1971 sphere books printings or bind-ups with different covers and possibly different cat#s: if there were, sphere books' later printing declarations under-count:

2/1973 thrid sphere books printing
cover art by eddie jones retained
black cover frame design incorporates ''sphere science fiction classics" on yellow ground retained
cat# 11002
(implicit isbn: 0-7221-1100-2)
cover price 30p, east africa 7/25, south africa 75c, australia $1.00, new zealand $1.00
208pp. titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising

1976 fourth sphere books printing
cover art by eddie jones as second printing,
cover design as second printing above, but adds hugo award-winning red flash across lower fly corner
isbn 0-7221-1075-8
cover price 60p, rep. of ireland 66p, australia $1.95, new zealand $2.05
208pp including titles, indica etc, 2 end pp. advertising

.. (?) ..

8/1977 (?fifth?) sphere books printing (data from locus #205, 10/1977)
isbn 0-7221-1103-7
cover price 75p, (overseas territories prices?)

next known/reported uk p/b edition is the first panther/granada publishing printing (1979), q.v.

(not sphere books' 1969 first p/b printing: was cat# 10901 with different cover art, price 5/- (25p), etc.)

cover art by eddie jones, image shown is from before being greatly cropped by the semi-uniform design adopted by sphere books for their sf classics series (or (possibly) after that design was dropped; but the presence of the pre-decimalisation primary uk cover price suggests this is the earlier printing)
cover price 6/- (30p), australia 1.00c (sic), new zealand 1.00c (sic), south africa 75c, east africa 7/25
208pp. including titles, indica etc, 2 end pp.advertising/data

n.b. front cover image 1515826 may equally well be of sphere books' third (1973) printing.

the displayed front cover image 1329560 is of the later sphere books' 1976 fourth printing/edition with cover art by eddie jones, and semi-uniform cover design for sphere's sf classics series, as it bear the diagonal red hugo award-winning flash across the lower fly corner

back cover image 1329561 this displayed rear cover is also of the later, fourth printing: 1976, cat# 10758, isbn 0-7221-1075-8

both images should be transferred to item nc760244uk

there were at least five sphere books printings/editions on about as many cat#s-or-isbn10s.
