ppint. 12th Jun 2020		23skidoo: the number that the edition of the book actually bears is the number that the edition of the book actually bears. repetition of a mistake made by someone else, somwhere elsewhere else, does not sanctify it.
23skidoo 12th Jun 2020		@ ppint. I inputted the complete ISBN as listed by WordCat: https://www.worldcat.org/title/k9-and-the-beasts-of-vega/oclc/16560459 Rule of thumb appears to be if it has 9 digits, just add a zero to the beginning to make it an ISBN-10.

ppint. 12th Jun 2020		n.b. though the back cover declares a number as the book's isbn, it is not in fact an isbn as it is composed of only nine digits: since the final digit is valid as the checksum digit it is presumably an sbn.
