ppint. 6th Feb 2019		the two simultaneous near-identical third printings by indica number-string sharing cat# UY1196 dated by jaffery to 9/1975 bear new cover art by michael whelan; whilst the probably simultaneous fifth merkin and second (!) (it's the third canadian, and over-all the sixth daw books printing) canadadian-carcassed printings by number-strings, cat# UY1276, the all-merkin printing dated 8/1976 by locus 31/8/1976, share an uncredited and unsigned third cover painting. all four of these printings retain the jack gaughan frontispiece, and bear the $1.25 cover price indicated by the second letter in their cat#.



ppint. 14th Mar 2018		daw books suimultaneous near-identical mmpb printings sharing merkin-printed covers, first edition cover art by h. j. bruck (credited) (aka and more commonly ''johnny bruck'') b+w frontispiece by jack gaughan (credited, and signed with jg digraph) near-meaningless daw books collectors number 25 cover price 95¢ 144pp? including titles, indica etc. refer to indica to see if carcass of copy held was merkin- or canadadian- printed. no priority established nor liable to be, both state first printing, 1972 copies were distributed in at least the uk by new english library, bearing a "tall oval" peelable nel "museum door" logo & uk price (25p or 30p iirc) sticker printed in black on white paper on the front cover



ppint. 17th Nov 2017		cat# and isbn were both wrong: book bears no sbn nor isbn, and the almost pointless daw collectors number, which not all daw books bore, could not be used as a cat# to order daw books from daw, nal, nel - nor any book, mmpb or news wholesaler, sfaiaa.
