23skidoo 10th Mar 2022		@ppint. Was the original novel text revised? (Difficult to do as the original author died 36 years ago but maybe it's a restored text as has been done with some William Burroughs' novels in recent years). Additional essay material does not necessarily a new book make. By the way that's not a snarky question - the current New Target line has included a few books that have been published with revised/rewritten texts. So if this book includes material written by Marter but perhaps cut from the original editions for length restrictions (Target DW books were notorious for page count limits) then by all means this should be a new book. 23skidoo 18th May 2020		@ppint. This is a late response, but can you describe the additional content? My understanding is the 2012 (and later) BBC Books reissues just had new forewords added. The original text remains as is. If nothing else, this would make is a 2nd edition and according to the indexing template we're supposed to put the original publication year of "any edition". Note that other BBC Books reprints indexed are showing the original year of publication. As I'll be indexing my copy of the 1977 release in due course, I'm going to go ahead and put 1977 in the Original Publication field pending someone correcting it if this was a revised edition of some sort (unlikely as the author died in the 1980s).
