almost certainly a pirate edition taken from the second centaur press edition. all references to the centaur press, time-lost, etc. and front cover price removed. author's name on front cover set in black type (i.e. not reversed out from colour of background bloc.)

i know of no reason to suppose this edition was distributed in north america, or anywhere outside of the uk-of-gb-and-northern-ireland and the republic of ireland via newsagents wholesalers on firm sale terms, either for sale at 75p or as an instant remainder; and quite possibly also in western europe.
any reports of its trade distribution beyond the british isles would be welcome. . .
