ppint. 3rd Jun 2020		new american library signet books mmpb one of the two in this simultaneous printing; the third merkin printing, but accounted fourth to allow the re-accounting of the first canadian-carcassed printing (one of the two D2549 printings) as the third signet printing over-all; near-identical with the second canadian printing, sharing cat#, merkin-printed covers: this would subsequently be accounted the fifth signet printing over-all. . . new american library got their knickers into quite a twist, trying to reconcile two or three mutually exclusive accounting methods for merkin & canadadian carcass printings of signet and of daw mmpbs in these mmpb printing histories... so the next wholly merkin-printed printing was accounted the sixth printing, though it was the fourth wholly merkin-printed mmpb intended for general distribution cover art unsigned, uncredited cover price 75¢ 160pp. including titles, indicia etc, end pp. advertising refer to indicia to see if carcass of copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed no priority established: canadian-carcassed copies indicia states second printing, april, 1972
