ppint. 29th Aug 2019		'k: then it's a later edition/impression/printing gollancz-or-millennium° orion books imprint - at least the second - as the 8/2001 first fantasy masterworks series gollancz imprint edition bears the isbn10, cover price £6.99 and blurry (multiple imaged as though due to sideways camera-shake) blue -grey - black cover art by richard carr. ° - after no-one in the family took on the job of running the publisher when livia gollancz decided to retire, it was sold, initially to houghton miflin, best-known for being tolkien's merkin h/cvr publishers, who sold it on to cassell plc; and thence was absorbed by the orion publishing group; at one manglement meeting of which some orion / millennial manglement hero decided, after malcolm edwards departed (for career advancement reasons) to harpercollinspublishers, to junk the gollancz imprint in favour of "millennium", and "vista", etc. this idiotic decision to abandon one of the strongest sf & fantasy "brands" in british book publishing wasn't reversed until malcolm was hired back from rupertmurdochbooks as the m-d / publisher of the orion group - hence the yo-yo-ing around between the "gollancz", " millennium", ''vista'' etc. imprint names.
