ppint. 18th Mar 2018		mel jay is/was an arcadia house publishers house name, albeit one only used upon this book sfaik first published by john spencer & co. ltd, 131 brackenbury road, london w6 as badger books p/b cat# SF69, under the house name by-line "john e. muller" (1962), q.v. written by r. l. fanthorpe.



ppint. 27th Aug 2022		modern promotions uni book (sometimes unibook) undated mmpb, post-1966 produced as a run-on of, or a later printing of, the macfadden books mmpb, bearing a variation of their cover art (unsigned, uncredited; re-used cropped from the macfadden books mmpb in a new framework) cat# (none) cover price 95¢ 144pp. including titles, indica (ha!) etc, end pp. prob'ly produced as an instant remainder or possibly a free-of-charge promotional item, bears only the incorrect copyright date of 1966 indicating its producers knew no more than did macfadden books' editor concerning this novel, written by lionel fanthorpe.
