ppint. 27th Aug 2022		''mel jay'' was a house name of arcadia house publishers, under which they published the merkin h/cvr edition of this novel, which they licenced from john spencer & co. who'd originally published it under one of their house names, ''john e. muller''. the macfadden books editor would appear not to've been advised of the original publication of this novel, nor of the ownership of the house name, by anyone at arcadia house publishers.
