 n.b. harpercollins/harpercollinspublishers/harpercollinstrophy/etc, etc. also used another painting by cliff nielsen, initially upon boxed sets of their merkin p/b narnia series boxed sets and single volume omnibus editions, and on the ''the lion, the witch and the wardrobe'' p/bs the sets contain, and later upon other editions of this novel including large-print editions: it is of the lion, aslan's full face including his mane, front on, and it is predominantly a golden(ish) brown in colour: & first use of which yr hmbl srppnt. currently knows being upon harpercollinspublishers merkin omnibus edition of ''the chronicles of narnia'' (10/2001), q.v. - it's clearly completely different from the painting used upon these paperbacks.

this edition really bears the isbn10 as well as the isbn13 ?
(this is possible, but somewhat unlikely for an edition first published in 2002)

2005 reprint with silver metallic ink titles on front cover and large yellow circular disc advertising the disney film ''major motion picture / holiday 2005'' on lower front cover occupying the right-hand corner:
