ppint. 3rd May 2019		date of this edition/printing is^W was wrong and should^W has been corrected to 1978: it was published c.8/1978, between 7-9/1978 inclusive (dated by myself by interpolation of cat# & matching the merkin & the canadian cover price couplet.) ppint. 3rd May 2019		cover shown is of undated c.1978 third printing - see indica publishing history for statement of this printing/ diminished number line. near-identical with both 9/1975 first mmpb printings (cat# UY1193, daw book collector number 162), retaining chris foss' cover art, and typography, but bears different new cat# and newly an isbn. the near-meaningless daw book collector number is dropped. jack gaughan's b+w frontispiece is retained - but printed upside-down. published simultaneously with the near-identical fourth printing, with which it shares merkin-printed covers including cat# and isbn, but carcass of book printed in canada (see indica to check copy held) and: cover price $1.75 (this price change not reflected in the alphabetical prefix of the cat#: this oddity is true of all such simultaneous-with-"all-merkin-printings" editions/printings produced for distribution in canadada whose cover prices differ from the associated "all-merkin-printings" that i have seen. - ppint.)
