ppint. 23rd Mar 2018		near-identical editions/printings sharing merkin-printed covers, cat# and cover art by gino d'achille refer to indica to establish whether the carcass of the copy you hold was merkin- or canadadian- printed. no priority established nor liable to be. n.b. also: canadadian first printing cover price is $2.50, not $2.25, but the second letter of the cat# alpha prefix was not varied to reflect this even though it should have been "W" as this was the distributors, new american library,'s then cover price code letter for $2.50. "nopalgarth" aka, and originally published as half an ace double as, "the brains of earth" (1966), q.v. "son of the tree" first published in book format in ace double (1964), q.v. together with "the houses of iszm", q.v. (c. 50% longer than the version published in startling stories 4/1954)
