23skidoo 6th Mar 2024		@ David Whiteley - good news on the cover condition. It's possible people doing the reviews on Amazon were looking for something additional to complain about because the story didn't meet their standards. Or there was just a faulty print run. Obviously I wouldn't suggest adding this factoid to the official Notes of any printing until and unless people start chiming in saying they actually have an issue with the cover.

23skidoo 1st Mar 2024		Thanks for uploading the cover. Was it a "live scan" or taken from online? I'm curious about the cover ink quality I mentioned the other day.



23skidoo 28th Feb 2024		There should be cover art available now. The book isn't yet widely available in North America. I was reading Amazon reviews of the first edition and apparently the first printing suffers from poor print quality on the cover - a number of reviewers have noted that the lettering is flaking off (I do not know if this refers to the on-cover printing or if this was issued with a dust jacket).This will probably be rectified for the eventual North American and paperback issues, but this is worth noting as it might make "intact" covers of the first printing a bit of a collectible.

David Whiteley 6th Jun 2024		Added copyright page, back cover and, with acknowledgement to JPGR&B, a larger front cover scan. 178 numbered pages, plus an 11 page interview with Charlie Higson, title page, copyright page etc. 192 pages total. The revised text in the paperback edition consists of two pages added to Chapter 1, a few extra lines to Chapter 4 and four pages to Chapter 6. (this comment is from another edition of this book)



23skidoo 2nd Mar 2024		Aside from the flaking text issue, one criticism I saw often regarding the first edition (at least on Amazon reviews) is that the project read like a rush job, which is was considering it was published only about 9 months after the Queen died (assuming the book wasn't written earlier and saved, of course). So it makes sense that a revised edition would come out later (which makes the first edition - good on you having a signed one - likely more collectible). For me, I'll watch for the paperback edition when it becomes available in Canada. Thanks for the extra info! (this comment is from another edition of this book)
