 reprint collection of two novelelettes and fourteen short lafferties (one story original)
contents follow those of charles scribner's sons 3/1972 first edition h/cvr

first mmpb, first p/b edition

two near-identical printings/editions sharing merkin-printed covers, cat#, cover price and cover art by jack gaughan differ in the indica on the reverse of the title page in both where the carcasses were printed, but also in which retains the full printing line of numbers:

exceptionally the canadadian-printed carcasses appear to be the first mmpb edition, first printing, and the merkin, the second-printed. this may be an error by daw books or (less likely) by both their merkin and canadadian printers - or it may correctly establish priority. r. a. lafferty would have relished the confusion, if he knew of it.
