ppint. 6th Sep 2018		original collection of six thematically-linked pieces, one a short story and five novelelette-length, with short introduction by c.j. near-identical simultaneous editions/printings sharing merkin-printed covers, cat#, isbn and cover art by michael whelan (credited and signed) near-meaningless daw books collector no. 433 but cover price $2.50 (canadadian-carcassed and distributed copies) cover price $2.25 (wholly merkin-printed copies generally-distributed) 160pp. including titles, indicia etc, end pp. advertising refer also to indicia to see if carcass of copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed. no chronological priority, but merkin copies bear complete number-string, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9, whereas canadadian drop the "1", to be 2 3 4 5 67 8 9, identifying it as second printing even though simultaneously published: this was daw books' practice mid-80 to mid 90s. almost-meaningless collector no.433 cover art retained for 11/1983 thrid printing, indicated in indica by number-string 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 isbn 087997-881-3 cat# UE1881 cover price (canada $2.95) u.s. $2.50 so this printing should be flagged "international", not merkin, according to respected moderator's rule - or not so re-flagged, according to equally well-respected moderator's heartfelt plea
