ppint. 7th May 2019		near-identical editions/printings sharing merkin-printed covers and hence also cat#, isbn, cover art & b+w frontispiece by don maitz (cover art credited and both are signed) near-meaningless daw book collector no. 359 192pp. including titles, indiuca etc, end pp. advertising cover prices differ: cover price $1.75 (wholly merkin-printed) cover price $1.95 (canadadian-carcassed) refer also to indica to see if carcass of copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed. no priority established, nor liable to be, the publishing history of both giving: first printing month, year, number-string 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 #1 in trilogy: #1: "the douglas convolution" (1979) (this book) #2: "the bright companion" (1980), q.v. #3: "prelude to chaos" (1983), q.v.
