first daw books edition and printings sharing merkin-printed covers and hence cat#,

cover art by michael whelan (unsigned, credited)
near-meaningless daw books no.372
cover price $2.50 (canadadian-carcassed copies intended for distribution north of the parallel)
cover price $2.25 (wholly merkin-printed copies for general distribution)
256pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising

refer to indica publishing history to see if carcass of copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed
no priority established nor liable to be, both stating first printing, february, 1980
and bearing the full first printing number line

also check indica for absence presence of the dropping of both digits "1" & "2", indicating
third, undated daw books mmpb printing.
