ppint. 21st May 2020		23skidoo: if you compare barcode numbers with cover prices and cat#s, you will likely note that the cover prices in us¢ are often given either in the second, smaller barcode block, with the cat# as part of the main barcode block (after the language identifier and the publisher's identification code number, and before the final, checksum digit), or - as here - as the final part of the main barcode block, with the cat# given in the second, smaller barcode block: this latter practice seems to've been a transitional practice, where the main barcode block does not give the publisher's isbn identification code number. this leaves the second block as the only part of the barcode & barcode number actually identifying the book.



23skidoo 20th May 2020		@ppint. This is the only time I've seen seen those last digits mentioned as having any value for indexing on 45 Worlds. They are usually ignored and aren't even included with barcodes anymore. The ISBN and the barcode numbers are usually the same now.



ppint. 20th May 2020		23skidoo: yes, correction submitted; if you omit the second part of this barcode number, you no longer have a number that is unique to this book as this is the book's cat#. the last five digits of the first part are the cover price in cents.



23skidoo 20th May 2020		@ppint. Oops! My bad - the ISBN ended up going in twice. The "12155" part isn't usually included with barcode numbers on these things. Did you submit a correction? If not, I will do so.



ppint. 19th May 2020		barcode number given is wrong and should be corrected to 07678300225 12155 as per back cover (or just deleted).
