 in addition to novels and stories by r. l. fanthorpe, three novelettes by harry o. mansfield were published as by ''leo brett'' in issues of supernatural stories, so this is accounted a house name of john spencer & co., publishers of badger books.

though supernatural stories was one of the john spencer & co. and badger books magazines, the ''supernatural special''s were not declared issues of it, this being rather a series name applied to the front covers of individually published fantasy horror novels - even though the cat#s of the novels on which the series name appeared were part of badger books' supernatural stories ''SN'' series of cat#s numbering sequence;

yr hmbl srppnt. is agnostic as to whether the specials should, or should not be regarded as issues of the magazine, but it would surely confuse unsuspecting bookcatters and other people were they to be catted as issues of a magazine whose title they do not bear...°

- edit: maybe a good solution would be placeholder links in the magazinecat listing of supernatural stories for these single novel ''supernatural special'' SN cat# issues referring readers back here to these items?
