23skidoo 8th Sep 2020		Edward D. Wood Jr. and his infamously bad Plan Nine from Outer Space have this book to thank for placing them in the pop culture mythos. One wonders if Tim Burton would have made his movie if attention hadn't been called to it by this book. One other aspect of this book that is well known is that the authors fabricated one film and challenged readers to determine (in those pre-Internet and even pre-home video days) which one was the fake. For years it was thought an X-rated film about Jesus, "Him", was the fake (it didn't help that the movie is apparently a rare example of a relatively modern film that has been lost), but it ended up being one called "Dog of Norway." I've had this book for nearly 40 years and I have to admit I could never figure out which one was the fake.
