annaloog 3rd Oct 2023		Thanks for the response. I think that Ignatiev's supposed involvement in the Sepoy mutiny was an invention, however inspired, in George Macdonald Fraser's well-researched novel, Flashman in the Great Game. Apparently, adding an 'English title' for an English language entry via Add Missing Info. is not an option, although you could do so via Make Correction.



JimEss SUBS 3rd Oct 2023		I don't think a Count is mentioned in the short section explaining the possibility of beef-fat being used to grease the cartridges, only the officers who were dealing with the rumor. It's mentioned on the prologue page and I'll add that. This book also has the UK title of The Sound Of Fury, which could be added for the English Title, but apparently I can't access that field from the Add Missing Info tab.



annaloog 2nd Oct 2023		This looks interesting ... I wonder if it mentions Count Ignatiev's (alleged ) involvement in (IIRC) instigating the rumor concerning the ingredients in the cartridge grease. ---------- This may be just a literary invention.
