ppint. 9th Jan 2018		near-identical first and second bantam books short mmpb printings, first being first p/b edition cover art (unsigned, uncredited) (seen attributed to charles binger, but no source given) cover price (none; almost all mmpbs were 25¢ for a decade) indica gives first bantam edition published 4/1952, first printing 3/1952 check indica publishing history for statement of undated second printing (date given as 6/1952 in thrid printing), to determine which you hold. 10/1954 bantam books third mmpb printing is in the taller pocketbook format (close to uk a format) and adds a band of red across the top above the same cover art; it was printed from the same typesetting: cat# 1282 cover art by charles binger (presuming the attribution above is correct) cover price 25¢ 192pp? including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising
