(collection of two novellas, not sfair a fix-up)

"the roaring trumpet" unknown vol.iii, #3, 5/1940 (unknown uk 5/1940)
"the mathematics of magic" unknown vol.iii, #6, 8/1940 (unknown uk 8/1940)

#1 & #2 published in omnibus:
"the compleat enchanter"' (1976), q.v.

#1, #2 & #3 published in omnibus:

(one l. ron hubbard made unauthorised use of l. sprague de camp & fletcher pratt's character's name on a minor character in a poor story no-one considers canon, not only mis-representing sir harold as a bully and a braggart - but also killing him off without obtaining his creators' permission. - or even trying to. . .)
