(check) including titles, indica etc, end p. .. .. distinguish from near-identical third printing which differs: indica printing history number line drops digits ''1'' and ''2'' isbn 0-88677-082-3 cat# ?UE2082? .. .. distinguish from undated (9/1985) near-identical fourth printing which differs: title no longer in metallic gold (& may not be embossed) indica printing history further drops digits ''3'' isbn retained from thrid printing cover price ($4.95 canada) • u.s. $3.95 publication date taken from locus first novel set in professor m. a. r. barker's created world of the empire of the petal throne which was (& is) one of the fantasy role-playing game worlds created in most detail, to a depth that has been compared to that of middle-earth, and in some aspects rated more highly.



ppint. 21st Aug 2021		century hutchinson first yp/b printing, first uk edition cover art by peter ''paj'' jones (signed and dated, also credited on back cover) cover price £2.95 372pp? including titles, indica etc, end pp. the very strong bold red title detracts greatly from the effectiveness of peter jones' cover art, but i don't know that this is the reason this edition didn't sell - yr hmbl srppnt. stocked it, but gave up on it and imported (a few) more of the daw mmpb, which browsers were more receptive to. (this comment is from another edition of this book)
