ppint. 16th Dec 2023		non-fiction: a bestiary of mythological animals and monsters, their circumstances and the non-human races associated with them; plus an account of the designing and creation of the twelve ''treasures'' and the clues to finding the twelve places in the u.s.a. where they were hidden/buried. refer to ''masquerade'' kit williams (1979), q.v. for the likely major inspiration for this book, the creation of modern treasures and their burial, & the treasure hunt clues.
23skidoo 16th Dec 2023		I wonder if anyone ever found the figurines and what became of them after this challenge had run its course? There were a few books like this in the 1980s. Oddly, it has some similarity to the modern-day hobby of geocaching, only without the prize aspect.
