Well that does create a new dilemma, which entry to use, and which to delete.
I am, of course minded to keep this one here, as it was first entered, but as you say, Quad has made the new entry (with lots of work in it!), mostly, I suspect, at my suggestion, so I am kind of responsible for causing Quad extra work there.
(Sorry everyone!)
So what I will say is this: Moving content from one entry to the other is easy to do, so that's not an issue (Including ownership, notes, and other details), so I'll open it to suggestion as to the best course of action... keep this or the new one?
The image supplied by Collsrt is not from this release it is in fact from the vinyl version of the same deluxe package. Quad's image shows the correct cat# and barcode for this release and Collsrt's back cover needs to be deleted as it is for a different product altogether.
I've just noticed the Quad5point1 has entered this correctly and comprehensively (linked below) so I suppose the best option would be to delete this entry altogether and notify Collsrt so he/she can shift ownership to the very nicely completed entry submitted by Quad5point1.Correction sent.
I wouldn't rush into it Magic. I'm sure the six discs and maybe even the book will have specific cat#s as well and they'll be added as the evidence comes forward. It also could be the case that Quad's set has the same cat# on the back of the box as the one on the page here. It's early days on this but I'd be very surprised if there's more than one GZ Media production of this release.
I'd wait awhile before fiddling about with the entry. Images for this should start to appear all over the net and on this page in the next few days. We will be able see what the story is for sure soon So I don't think creating another entry that may need to reunited with this in the future is the way to go just now.
Both the catalogue number and the barcode have been entered here with one digit (6) missing; the last four digits should be 8691. And this is definitely International, as the packaging shows "Universal Music International B.V.", Universal's division that co-ordinates international domestic releases of its products. Sony Music has a similar division in Germany, which is called (drum roll) Sony Music Entertainment International Music Services GmbH. The clue's in the names, people, so it's time to sort this out once and for all!
P.S. oops, didn't notice the country had already been changed, but please note the above comments for future reference!
There's nothing controversial about it Quad5point1. It's just wrong. An article from the NME dated 26th of August provides links to various Australian stores where this will be available on the same release date. Covid may intervene of course but that is the planned release date. So this is in fact international along with all the other variants of this release.
As there is a lot of resistance to the idea of EU releases actually being international on the site should I just copy them and enter them as Australian releases instead of pointing this out all the time? You could then plot my progress as I zoom up the points table in every music category. I'll send a correction and put my flak jacket on. It makes me laugh too Quad5point1.
