Thanks for the images, Syd Vliet. Although I don't know if the 8-page booklet actually belonged to the original outifit, I found another hint that Led Zeppelin IV was actually the band's first CD, already released in 1983 (and apparently about four years before LZ I - III), as said there:
My personal journal shows the first Led Zeppelin compact disc I ever heard was Led Zeppelin IV in September 1983 (but my journals were transcribed so it could be a typo). As I recall IV was indeed the very first Led Zeppelin compact disc title ever released and the others followed.
I was in doubt about the best main catalogue number for this first CD issue of a Led Zeppelin album but as all editions have the same combination on the back cover (19129-2, Europe 250 008) I left it as originally entered. The first copies were apparently made in Japan, with the cat# combination 19129-2 (250 008) also on the discs (other combinations would appear on discs pressed in West Germany), so the very early release date proposed in Martin C. Strong's Great Rock Discography (July 1983) seems reasonable.
I also made it an International release, as it was apparently aimed for the US and European market.
