I agree with Greg o this one, the barcode and / or cat having any variation is indicative of being a different product... the additional "V" must have been added to make this distinction...

...So I have created a new entry for Droid's issue, and moved his images there, and used a copy of the lead image here, submitted by jamieeduardo for the lead image there.

I have also referred to this in notes there, and linked the two (see bottom of this page).

Hi, I'm sorry, i'm not aware of of that practice, and, that may well be the case on Vinyl Albums World, but as far as i know we have always added CD releases with different Cat. No's separately in my experience. There may only be one letter difference but it's a difference, and therefore, a separate release.
The difference between 1 letter/number and 10 is the same, is it not?, they are still both different from each other.
We can't just bung "similar" Cat. No's together on the one entry, this entry now indicates that both CD'S use two Cat.No's doesn't it? that's not how a database works surely?, and would soon lead to chaos. Where do we draw the line?, is one letter/number difference OK, or two maybe or three?.... CD's often have longer Cat.No's/specific spacings/extra digits/letters/hyphens which indicate different issues/different countries/special editions/club releases, and are all put there for a reason. As far as i can remember club edition CD's have always been entered separately, as they are not the stock/retail release, and that's surely how it should be. So, i'd have to disagree on this one, and stand by what i say, however, of course, if a Moderator were to say otherwise, then of course i'd go along with whatever decision is made., but personally, i feel they should still be separated IMHO.
More often than not, most club editions do not have a barcode as they were ordered mail order, therefore, i'd be curious to know if you are you also suggesting that they all be added to the stock retail releases as well?, if the Cat. No's numbers are "similar"?, because if so, i can foresee some problems there.
It seems that any previous attempts to group items together on databases ultimately led to inaccuracy/failure, so, surely best to separate them early days?, i don't think server space (buried deep in the mountainside;) is a limiting factor,so why try to group when there's no need? (a-la International;).
Sorry, but for me, a club release is significantly different than the one we buy in the shops.
anyhow, no malice intended, and i can see that i must seem like i'm continually banging on about Cat. No's/barcodes having to match exactly before other issues are added to a page, but, this is why...
(i shall bleat on no longer;).....for the powers that be....

Gregs45s - I believe the accepted method of record club additions has been to add them to the regular release unless it is issued with an altogether different catalog number. There are myriad examples of this in the vinyl albums section of 45worlds. As this entry only adds a V to the catalog number it conforms to that precedent.

The Club CRC V2-61611 version is a separate release, hereand so should have it's own separate entry, could a Mod please sort (i'll submit a correction.)(there is no one release that shares both of the Cat.No.'s 2-91611 / V2-91611)
(Even though the differences between CD Cat.No's may appear minor, they are always there for a reason, and any differences ,no matter how small, indicate a different version)
it's all in the detail when it comes to CD's;)

Added CRC (Columbia Record Club) version with leading "V" on catalog number (V2-91611) on back of CD booklet and disc. CRC imprint also appears at bottom center of back cover. The "V2" catalog number also appears on the spine.
