PhilMH 18th Dec 2014		October 7, 1997 is the US release date from October 1997 ICE Newsletter and Universal Music Enterprises. Amazon UK says 10th August 1998 for the UK release, which seems unusually late, but Amazon could be wrong (they are pretty good on most dates, but not infallible). I have just checked the barcode on my copy of the US issue, and it is the same as the one in plerner's comment, so we can probably keep all editions on this page and make it "International". plerner, can you just confirm the format of the catalogue number on the UK edition, as I think US PolyGram did them differently from UK/Europe at this time - I suspect the UK number might be written as 530 825-2.



TopPopper 10th Sep 2014		My impression is that the black and white cover is a UK release. There are loads in this series by a host of Motown acts (some are called "The Essential Collection", some "The Ultimate Collection"). The other edition I'm not sure about, but if it's US, then they wouldn't belong on the same page.



plerner SUBS 10th Sep 2014		No, the label is definitely Motown. But I'll bow the Moderators' views as to whether it should be a separate entry (I just didn't want to repeat all the track details unless I really had to!)
