Notes

Released as a bonus insert disc with the Criterion Blu-ray issue of True Stories. Contents same as standalone release on Nonesuch 574181-1 but with different cover art.

Contains all cast performances of the songs from the film, with "Puzzlin' Evidence" and "Dream Operator" released officially for the first time. "Papa Legba" is a shorter edit than the version released on Sire R2 76455. Contains complete contents of the secondary Sounds from True Stories soundtrack album (previously unreleased on CD), but omits most of the Talking Heads performances from the original True Stories album on Sire except for the three songs they perform themselves in the film (though members of Talking Heads play instruments on the majority of the tracks).

Some of the incidental music tracks do not credit a particular group or band.

Barcode take from the Blu-ray release as the CD itself does not have one.

23skidoo 27th Jan 2019		It only took 32 years for a proper soundtrack, but it was worth the wait. I've seen the standalone version and can confirm the contents are the same, just the packaging differs. I was surprised to find that Papa Legba is a different edit in this version than the previous issue of the Staples performance on the 2006 reissue of True Stories; it runs a full minute shorter and ends rather suddenly.
