ReviewA nice, bouncy, synth-dub-reggae-pop album for summer...
...Dubstar were one of those I was only dimly conscious of first time round, perhaps too light and pop-y for me at the time, when I was young and serious...
...But now I'm old and ridiculous, it's just the ticket for a sunny summer's day.
It's dub / reggae, done with synths, and is very pop-some, probably best described as sitting somewhere amidst a triangle of reference, who's points are Massive Attack, St. Etienne, and... erm... some reggae type person...
(I don't really go in for reggae, on the whole, so I'll defer to your knowledge here)
But it's a perfect album to put on if you're having a barbeque, and there are many musical tastes to cater for, and you want something that all will generally like.
