I'm sure I bought this CD in Berlin (Germany) together with seven other CDs as a Package declared as a Special-Edition contenting the first 8 Stones-LPs on their own Label in a remastered Version on CD. And it was declared as an import from US.
I agree that these two should be merged as per cat# - barcode.
My doubts concern the country for "Collector's Edition", are US issues imported to Europe?
The Guide - Adding CD Albums makes no mention of anything other than a matching barcode to identify a matching release. So any other criteria being used including the label, cat#, price codes, local cat#s, secondary cat#s, label codes and publishing rights is just people making up the rules as they go along. So this and this are the same product according to our site guidelines. Or is there another set of rules somewhere that includes all this other stuff? If there is I'd like to see it so I don't get so confused as to what's meant to be going on when entering CDs. I would actually prefer secondary cat#s to be included as they are often where the differences lie between releases from different countries.
This pressing (and the other similarly-packaged Stones reissues) also distributed by EMI Australia, and as the back sticker also shows UK catalogue number (now added), French price code, and German label code, I would say make this "International".
