I agree leonard and gregs45s you are both right and it just goes to show what a (bad) joke the international classification is. I read somewhere else, in a forum on the site I think, someone saying the guidelines are not rules and you can enter things as you please. That is happening all over the shop on the site and while none us like this method we probably understand it better than most and still can't agree on specific entries such as this. The category has to go - it's a nightmare that has the capacity to make the whole site an incomprehensible irrelevance.
LaFace is an American record label based in Atlanta. If made International It will be added again and again as being American, because it's missing in the LaFace US discography or being added as Canadian (because that's what's on the tin).
Although "International" has no real meaning/doesn't serve any real purpose to identify entries as such,it should be used here as trade between any two countries, even if they border each other means it's technically "International" at least, when it comes to this site,so U/S/A,Canada = International (when the have exactly the same Cat.No/label/barcode)
(As you know Lee,i also am not in favour of having "International" as an option, but we have to stick to some rules,if only for continuity's sake;)
The copy I have definitely says Made In Canada. I commented here because my copy has magic marker defacing it too much to add to the site. I will certainly add a new page for it, but with some or no images at all.
whitewhale1965 states "The Canadian release is identical including label and cat#." This is a problem and one we seem to overlook for some reason. USA and Canadian releases often (10 to 20%) share cat#, label and barcode details but does that make them international? Personally I'd rather they be listed separately unless a third country used the same details. What do people think?
