fixbutte 7th Apr 2014		This was the music my pot smoking friends were listening to in the mid-1970s. I never had it on vinyl but my brother owned the LP, so I was very familiar with it when I finally bought this remastered CD edition in 1994. Apart from the dynamic One Of These Days, nothing much happens on this relaxed, low-key album, they're even singing of hanging around by the sea in Saint Tropez, on the French Riviera. Possibly still the best thing here is Echoes, which once took the whole second side of the LP, but with a duration of 23:30 is arguably around 10 minutes too long. Where Shine On You Crazy Diamond shines, Echoes only smoulders.
