TheDroid 30th Jul 2020		I can see it either way, although it seems that a promotional release with the exact same songs and catalog number would be grouped together on this site. There are myriad examples of this both here in the "Vinyl Albums" and on 45cat in the "7" Singles. In the meantime, here is the front cover without the "For Promotional Use Only" stamped on the front. And the CD disc without the promotional blurb printed on it as well as hype sticker from the front of the CD case. And my question for Magic Marmalade is why is Bob being saved over here in the U.S.?



Quad5point1 25th Jul 2020		There's no doubting it is a retail cover, but it has been overstamped in gold block "For Promotional Use Only" and as such would not have been available in any retail environment. The CD Tray Insert is as per the retail version, being void of any Promo wording.



Magic Marmalade 25th Jul 2020		I agree with quad... This is a promo only, as the disc is exclusively for promo purposes, and we go (first) by the label / disc... In this case, you have an exclusively promo disc housed in a generally available retail cover. They just saved a few Bob by stamping the cover as such, rather than make a bespoke promo cover... Common practice in cd age, as they abandoned the practice of making separate promo items in many cases... It is, however, very odd to find a promo only disc in a retail cover... If they can't make a tailored cover for the disc, they usually don't bother at all, or put it in a cheap card promo sleeve.



Quad5point1 25th Jul 2020		Unusual to have a Promo disc with gold promo stamps to the cover and "For Promotional Use Only" printed on the disc as _Not_ being a Promo item. Are you saying it was retailed like this?



TheDroid 24th Jul 2020		This isn't a "Promo Only" release, rather the original entry is a promotional copy of a commercial release. Format should be changed to "CD Album". [Mod: agreed and changed]
