| | @ Beggars Road: Whenever I have an entry that I list as a "local" release, it is because there is not an entry for the item from anywhere else. As soon as it appears from another country then I am more than happy to edit the "Country" to International as I now have proof. While most are more than likely to be International, I won't assume as such as the company may have done something oddball for a particular country.
This happened quite a bit with 45's in Australia where we were the only country to have a different "B" side compared to the rest of the world.
I have actioned both "Corrections". |

| | The other thing is that PolyGram had centralised their production for much of the world in Germany (as had other companies, particuarly RCA/BMG), and that this German pressing was in all probability distributed by PolyGram affiliates in Europe, the UK and beyond; in other words, just because it is made in Germany, it is not necessarily released only in Germany, or even only in Europe. Even the US got some German pressings. PolyGram in Australia also had some discs that were outwardly European in appearance judging by the cover inserts, but the actual discs were made in South Korea! |

| | @PhilMH: Thank you - although, the German / Australian release part is still a hazy shade of winter - look around - however - thanks again ☺ |

PhilMH SUBS 8th Sep 2017
| | US release date for Volume 1 and Volume 2 was actually 20th June 1988, according to the US Copyright Office; the Australian release date of 2nd April 1990 comes from the weekly new release listings of the Platterlog catalogue, which was an Australian trade catalogue that most record shops subscribed to.
Whilst I'm here, I'll explain the "Australian" bit and save T-V-J the trouble; PolyGram, like most Australian record companies, commonly imported CD's from overseas for local distribution, especially for back catalogue, and these were treated as "local" releases in the same way as Australian made discs; this still happens to a fair degree. I will submit a correction to insert the US release date, and put the Australian release date in the notes |

| | @The_Vinyl_Junkie: Two questions for you...
1) How does a German release CD become an Australian release? - just curious - (Although, that question is now moot since I will submit 'Make Correction' to change Country code to International).
2) How did you determine the date of release, including the USA pressing, is 2 Apr 1990? - again, curious. |
