CD Album
Notes Tracks 1-13 feature the vocal group The Tyrones, a group with ties to Bill Haley and His Comets, with Haley co-writing some of their songs and members of the Comets working as session musicians on some of their recordings (most notably 1, 3, 5, 7). In addition, Tyrones saxophone played Al Dean (aka Al DeNittis) became a member of the Comets in 1960. Track 13 is an alternate version of "Blast Off" from the soundtrack of the film Let's Rock. Tracks 14-19 consist of a previously unreleased radio performance by Bill Haley and His Comets recorded in November 1960 in Lima, Peru, during a period that Dean temporarily replaced Rudy Pompilli as the sax player for the Comets; Dean gets a co-writing credit on "Rudy's Rock" (usually it's only Pompilli and Haley) owing to it being a completely new arrangement.
