Translated from the back cover:
At the start of their career - and like all groups of their era - the Beatles performed many songs composed by other artists. Several of them subsequently appeared on their first records until the Lennon-McCartney tandem became in a very short time the extraordinary success machine that we know it as. It is precisely these first years that we wish to celebrate today with the publication of this CD. Many of these songs were so successful that the Beatles' version often outsold the original recordings.
Relive the electrifying atmosphere of the early days of Beatlemania, when it all began!

The Beatles' work masterfully illustrates the musical eclecticism of the group's members. They excelled in all registers, both covers and original songs.
If rock and roll was the spark that pushed these 4 young men to embrace the world of music, their culture and musical tastes were varied (skiffle, rhythm and blues, country, jazz, blues, international variety, folk traditional and, of course, rock and roll). The early Beatles learned their trade as a “dance band”. We had to entertain the audience and make them dance.
To do this, these 4 little guys from Liverpool developed a vast repertoire of songs, mainly covers, in all styles, adding a very personal imprint which differentiated them from other groups, whether by the choice of songs or their personalized interpretation.
The Beatles' early records contained several covers that were a hit at their shows. Most of the time, they compared favorably to the original versions and often even surpassed them.
This compilation of covers wonderfully illustrates this exceptional talent as an interpreter of the Beatles. With a masterful sound remastering, these songs shine with new brilliance.
