albert 31st Jul 2017		@leonard The modern English language is a mixture of many other country's languages, which is why we have strange spellings and so many words that mean the same thing - which is very fortunate for lyricists, humourists, writers etc. The older languages of the British Isles are of Celtic origin including Welsh and Gaelic tongues, and probably bemuse/confuse tourists who visit the UK.



Lee Wrecker 31st Jul 2017		Ace are sailing close to wind here with their "wall of soundalikes", cover shot of Spector and Cher and pun on Spector's name. It's so beautifully done that you hardly notice it at first but the album still looks like a another good retrospective collection from Ace. Not much danger of being sued though with the artist in question on an enforced hiatus. Oh, Beggars Road "American English has never been in jeopardy"? Covfefe! That's all I have to say about that one.



leonard 31st Jul 2017		I can't see Phil Spectors name on this, only in the writer credits and those are correct. I only see an album called Phil's Spectre and knowing what spectre means I think it's a good find. Funny people those English speakers: Potatoes and tomatoes, writing strEEt, pronouncing it strIEt, but just meaning strAAt . Remember in the USA you where only a couple of votes away from choosing Dutch as main language. Luckily for music that didn't occur.
