PhilMH SUBS 8th Nov 2018		But then again - I have just found the one Festival release sheet in my possession, number 24/92, dated June 15th 1992 - a Monday! This is devoted exclusively to reissues from the Specialty label (Little Richard et al.) and were almost certainly all imports. It could be that Festival's end-of-week releases applied to new, frontline product, whereas reissues and the more "marginal" new issues were released whenever, or Festival's release scheduling changed over time (and I don't remember now whether the Discogs discussion was about a particular release, or about Festival's releases and/or Platterlog dates in general). The date on my sheet is possibly also open to interpretation - I have interpreted it as the release date of the items listed, but that is not actually spelled out; it could well be just the date the sheet was published. Hopefully The_Vinyl_Junkie is lurking and can chime in here!



PhilMH SUBS 8th Nov 2018		As with the July 1993 reissue, Monday 4th May 1992 is the day this appeared in Platterlog; actual release day may well have been the previous Thursday or Friday, as a Discogs contributor familiar with Festival's release scheduling indicated that they tended to release at the end of a week to get the weekend sales. Some firmer confirmation would be nice, however (like, an actual dated Festival release sheet).
