Notes

A strange mixture of the 1986 "Give It A Try" album, which was mainly re-recordings of her 60s hits, combined with Public Domain tracks from the early 1950s which sound like the same transfers as on the RPM CD "The Polygon Years Volume 1".

Disc 2 Track 10 is "Fly Away Peter, Fly Away Paul"
Disc 2 tracks 8 and 14 are duets with Jimmy Young

mikerhyl SUBS ● 26th Apr 2017		Just bought a second hand copy for completism . "A product from UK manufactured in the European Union".Marketed and distributed by Weton-Wesgram B.V Netherlands .. Agree they should have separated 50's tracks. The label appears to be "Gold Box" Claims they are ALL re-recordings!! If only.....!



mister_tmg 19th Jan 2017		This is the edition with a gold slipcase cover. I think I bought this in Sainsbury's supermarket as I was curious to hear whether the early 1950s tracks sounded any better than previous issues. They didn't, so I later sold it. Really odd to combine digital 80s re-recordings of 60s tracks with old crackly 78s from the early 50s. They haven't even separated the tracks into two groupings, so it jumps from one era and type of recording to another. I don't think I ever did listen to the whole thing together though.
